Financial Aid 

 

AAYSA awards financial aid for its soccer program costs to those members that demonstrate a need or financial hardship. The decision to make any award, the amount thereof, and the beneficiaries will be made by AAYSA Board and based on the documented financial needs of the applying family. The financial aid fund is funded by donations made by AAYSA fundraisers, sponsors, and members from the AAYSA community.


 

Eligibility

Any AAYSA member is eligible to apply for financial aid.

The awarding of financial aid is primarily based on family income. The other factors such as unemployment or other financial hardships may be considered. 

While we cannot guarantee assistance to everyone, we make every effort to consider all applications and accommodate all families that apply.

All information you provide is strictly confidential.

To be eligible for Financial Aid, all applicants and their parents/guardians shall agree to participate in team practices, games, and all other team activities. Parents/guardians should be available to assist with volunteer duties as necessary.


 

​Documentation

Following documentation should be provided before the deadline each season:

  1. Financial Aid Form

  2. Complete copies of most recent year federal income tax returns 1040 along with W-2’s for all employed family members. (required)

  3. Copies of most recent payroll stubs for all employed family members, which reflect year-to-date earnings. (required)

  4. Copies of any court orders (i.e. divorce papers) regarding financial responsibility and / or support for the player. (if available)

We strongly recommend that you mask or remove all personally sensitive information in the files listed above (For example, Social Security Numbers and Dates of Birth). AAYSA will show due care to protect your information but cannot be held liable for information that is not masked or removed.

Late applications will only be evaluated and awards granted only if funds are available.

All applicants will receive a response to their application via email from AAYSA treasurer.

Financial Aid Limit

Any awards granted are intended to cover only a portion of fees due. Financial assistance will generally not cover more than 50-60% of the total fees expected to be due in a given season, and will only cover that much in the most needy situations, unless severe extenuating circumstances apply. 

 

The AAYSA Board reserves the right to cancel Financial Aid arrangements at any time through written notification.

How to Apply

Step 1: Complete Financial Aid Application Form

Step 2: Prepare all supporting documents required

Step 3: Send the copy of all the documents to:  treasurer@aaysacademy.org

You will receive a confirmation email if your documents are approved completely. Once the AAYSA Board makes a decision, you will get notified via email.
